Phase State Analysis (EOS)

Haldatec provides Phase State Analysis services to ensure process samples remain in a single phase throughout the sampling system. Using advanced thermodynamic modelling, process conditions and compositions are analysed to determine the behaviour of the sample stream.

Why it matters

Maintaining a single-phase sample is critical for obtaining representative and accurate results. Changes in pressure or temperature can cause condensation or phase separation, leading to unreliable sampling and measurement errors.

How it works

Haldatec uses proprietary software developed in-house, based on the Peng-Robinson equation of state and NIST REFPROP data, to accurately calculate dew points, bubble points, phase envelopes, sample heating requirements, Joule-Thomson temperature drops, heat recovery, and other critical process parameters.

Recommended when designing or reviewing sampling systems for gas, liquid, or multiphase applications where phase changes may affect sample quality and measurement accuracy.
